Baghdad, The State Administration Coalition held an expanded meeting this evening, Tuesday, in the presence of Prime Minister Muhammad al-Sudani, Speaker of the House of Representatives Muhammad al-Halbousi, and coalition leaders in the government palace.
A statement by the Coalition stated: “The attendees discussed the great challenges facing the region, represented by the war of extermination that the Zionist entity has been waging for thirty days against the struggling Palestinian people in Gaza and the West Bank, which claimed the lives of more than ten thousand martyrs, most of them children and women, and the repercussions of that on Iraq politically, socially, economically and security-wise.”
The attendees appreciated “the courageous and frank positions of Iraq, starting with the supreme authority and the people, of all sects, and the political forces and various activities, and especially the distinguished efforts made by the Iraqi government and its persistent movement against friendly and brotherly countries, in order to reach a unified and pressured position on all countries of the world to force them to accept an immediate ceasefire, open humanitarian aid routes, and put an end to the collective punishments against the steadfast Palestinian people.”
The Coalition stressed "the importance of continuing and maintaining the momentum of Iraqi support for the brotherly Palestinian people, especially in the issues of medicine, food and fuel, at the highest levels without slipping into decisions with uncalculated consequences."
The Coalition reiterated its emphasis on the unity of the national ranks in the face of challenges, calling on all the forces and activities of the people to unite and close ranks in the face of these challenges that the region is going through, noting that “the security and stability that our dear Iraq enjoys is due to the awareness of the Iraqis and their cohesion from one end of the country to the other.”
The Coalition stressed that "Iraq is currently witnessing a promising development movement that makes it incumbent on everyone to stand by the government and support it to achieve its ambitious programs in construction and reconstruction, as well as to stand by the security forces in pursuing terrorists and monitoring their movements, as they are lurking for any negligence or relaxation that occurs."
