GCC’s Electricity and Water Cooperation Committee Holds Extraordinary Meeting

The meeting was chaired by Bahrain.

According to Qatar News Agency, GCC Secretary-General Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi stated that the officials responsible for electricity and water in the GCC states reviewed the directives from the leaders of the GCC states during their 19th Consultative Meeting. The focus was to discuss and study future GCC projects related to electricity and water.

He noted that the meeting was part of a framework to implement these directives, which called for ministerial committees and similar bodies to continue holding intensive meetings. The purpose is to follow up on developments related to the current crisis in all its aspects and to submit recommendations and proposals to address them.

Albudaiwi thanked the officials for their directives to their teams to exert all efforts and coordinate with the Higher Committee at the General Secretariat. This reflects their commitment to strengthening the journey of joint GCC action.
