Doha Forum 2025 Highlights Qatar’s Role as Global Hub for Justice Discussions

Doha: In their editorials on Monday, Qatari newspapers highlighted the distinctive nature of Doha Forum 2025, which brought together heads of state, policymakers, and prominent experts from around the world to open an in-depth discussion on justice in its various forms.

According to Qatar News Agency, the newspapers also noted the affirmation made by HE Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani that the State of Qatar continues to support the Palestinian people and provide humanitarian assistance. However, it will not be responsible for paying the cost of rebuilding what others have destroyed in the Gaza Strip.

In its editorial, Al-Raya newspaper stressed that the Forum once again highlighted its position as a space for dialogue that shapes future ideas. Its 23rd edition was distinguished by unprecedented momentum in both the level and quality of participation, bringing together under one roof heads of state, policymakers, and prominent experts from across the world to open an in-depth discussion on justice. The newspaper added that the Forum has become more than an annual event; it is now a platform that everyone is keen to participate in, as it offers an opportunity to influence major global discussions and presents an exemplary model of managing dialogue based on openness, respect, and multiplicity of voices. It noted that the most important insight revealed by the Doha Forum 2025 is that Qatar has become a hub where the world meets in search of shared solutions.

For its part, Al-Sharq newspaper said that the broad participation of officials, decision-makers, and experts, as well as the scale and importance of the issues discussed during the numerous panel sessions at the Doha Forum 2025, reflects the pivotal role the forum plays as a global platform for dialogue and policy-making. It explained that the forum theme, ‘Justice in Action: Beyond Promises to Progress’, served as the lens through which current challenges were viewed and the guiding compass for the deep dialogue witnessed in the discussions and high-level meetings.

The newspaper concluded by noting that the forum ended with a moving speech delivered by HH Sheikha Moza bint Nasser, Chairperson of Qatar Foundation (QF) and Education Above All Foundation (EAA), in which she stressed that justice is a set of values that must be practiced not merely slogans to be raised. “Justice, at its core, is a faith, a culture, and a practice deeply rooted in reality. Justice must be perceived and experienced, not just used as a rhetorical slogan. Those slogans are empty promises and false commitments deliberately designed to remain unfulfilled,” Her Highness said. Her Highness pointed out that the challenges of today world require us to adopt a bold approach that can correct the skewed balance of justice for the sake of a better future for humanity.
