Department of Meteorology Warns of Thundery Rain, Strong Wind

Doha: Weather inshore, until 6:00 pm on Tuesday, will be partly cloudy to cloudy with scattered rain, thundery at times, the Department of Meteorology said in its daily weather report, warning of thundery rain associated with strong wind. Offshore, it will be partly cloudy to cloudy with scattered rain, thundery at times, becomes scattered clouds with slight rain later, thundery rain associated with strong wind and high sea with poor horizontal visibility.

According to Qatar News Agency, wind inshore will be mainly southeasterly to northeasterly 06-16 KT, gusting to 30 KT with thundery rain. Offshore, it will be southeasterly to northeasterly 10-20 KT, gusting to 33 KT with thundery rain, shifts by evening to northwesterly 05-15 KT.

Sea state inshore will be 2-4 ft, rises to 5 ft with thundery rain, decreases to 1-3 ft by evening. Offshore, it will be 3-6 ft, rises to 11 ft with thundery rain, decreases to 2-4 ft by evening. Visibility inshore will be 4-9 km/3 km or less with thundery rain. Offshore, it will be 4-9 km/2 km or less with thundery rain.

Tide information for various areas indicates high and low tides at different times. In Doha, high tide will occur at 03:37-15:55, with low tide at 11:02-22:32. Temperatures will be a minimum of 22 and a maximum of 25 degrees Celsius. Similar information is available for Dukhan, Mesaieed, Wakrah, Al Khor, Ruwais, and Abu Samra, with varying temperatures and tide times.

Sunrise is expected at 05:26 LT, and sunset at 17:49 LT.
