Death Toll from Israeli Aggression on Gaza Rises to 68,159 Martyrs

Gaza: The toll of casualties in the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip, ongoing since Oct. 7, 2023, has risen to 68,159 people killed and 170,203 people wounded.

According to Qatar News Agency, the Health Ministry in Gaza reported that hospitals in the Gaza Strip received 18 people killed over the past 24 hours. Of these, 10 were bodies that were recovered, and eight were fatalities from direct targeting by the occupation, along with three people injured.

The ministry noted that since the ceasefire took effect in the Gaza Strip on Oct. 10, the total number of people killed has reached 35, and the total number of bodies recovered stands at 414. The number of wounded during this period reached 146. It added that many victims remain under the rubble and in the streets, with ambulance and civil defense crews unable to reach them up to this moment.

The ceasefire agreement between the Hamas movement and the Israeli occupation was reached in the Egyptian city of Sharm El Sheikh and went into effect on the 10th of this month. This followed the occupation government’s approval, the start of its forces’ withdrawal from populated areas in the Strip, the return of displaced persons to northern Gaza, and the implementation of a prisoner exchange clause as part of the first phase of an initiative by US President Donald Trump to end the war.
