DAAM and QCDC Partner to Enhance Career Readiness for Qatari Students

Doha: The Social and Sport Contribution Fund (DAAM) and the Qatar Career Development Center (QCDC), an initiative by Qatar Foundation (QF), have entered into a strategic funding agreement to bolster the Career Readiness Program. This collaboration aims to establish a comprehensive framework to develop the career trajectories of public school students from grades nine through 12.

According to Qatar News Agency, DAAM will allocate financial resources to support various initiatives under the Career Readiness Program. These initiatives are designed to help students identify their interests and abilities, preparing them for future entry into the labor market. A significant component of the program is the creation of a national, AI-powered career guidance platform. This platform is specifically tailored to the needs of Qatari society and assists students in exploring their interests and understanding the academic pathways available to them at the university level.

The agreement also extends support to Al Dileela, QCDC's specialized, one-on-one career counseling program. This program, delivered by qualified experts, aims to help students make informed decisions with clarity and confidence. Al Dileela provides preparatory training and work-experience opportunities, enabling students to gain exposure to professional environments, develop skills, and acquire practical experience.

QCDC Executive Director Saad Abdulla Al Kharji emphasized the importance of aligning students' ambitions and skills with the country's future needs. He stated that the collaboration with DAAM would enhance the reach and impact of QCDC's programs, improving access to career guidance services and supporting Qatar's long-term human capital development goals.

Hassan Yousef Al Obaidli, DAAM Director of Programs, remarked that this agreement is part of the Fund's broader strategy to support national programs focused on youth development. He highlighted the significance of equipping young talents with necessary skills and knowledge for a confident transition into the labor market, reflecting DAAM's commitment to initiatives with sustainable social impacts.

The partnership underscores the shared commitment of both organizations to invest in young Qatari talent and contribute to the Qatar National Vision 2030 through human capital development. It also highlights the role of DAAM and companies listed on the Qatar Stock Exchange in supporting national initiatives with lasting impacts, aligning with QCDC's mission.
