Central Bank of Oman Issues OMR 14 Million Worth of Treasuries

Muscat: The Central Bank of Oman announced that the total value of government treasury bills allocated this week amounted to approximately OMR 14 million.

According to Qatar News Agency, the bank stated that the value of treasury bills allocated with a 91-day maturity amounted to OMR 9 million, with an average accepted price of OMR 99.053 and a minimum accepted price of OMR 99.050 per OMR 100. The average discount rate stood at 3.79930 percent, while the average yield was 3.83563 percent.

Treasury bills allocated with a 182-day maturity amounted to OMR 5 million, with an average accepted price of OMR 98.069 and a minimum accepted price of OMR 98.065 per OMR 100. The average discount rate stood at 3.87361 percent, while the average yield was 3.94991 percent.

The statement added that the repo rate for transactions with the Central Bank of Oman on these treasury bills is 4.25 percent, while the Central Bank's discount rate on treasury bill facilities stands at 4.75 percent.
