At least four people, including two police officers, were killed in an explosion that targeted a police vehicle in Pakistan’s southwestern province of Balochistan, officials said on Monday.
The blast also left several others injured.
The bombing occurred in a crowded market in Quetta, Balochistan, near a police vehicle that was on a routine patrol.
Initial reports revealed that an improvised explosive device was planted in a motorcycle that was parked behind the police car, the officials revealed.
Earlier in the day, the Pakistani army announced the elimination of two militants in Balochistan.
