The Army Chief of Staff, Lieutenant General Abdul Amir Yarallah, issued several directives to support security in Diyala.
A security source told the correspondent of the National Iraqi News Agency / NINA /: “During his visit to Diyala, Yarallah held a series of meetings with security leaders and leaders of the Popular Mobilization Forces, during which he issued important directives to support and enhance the security of the province.”
He added, “The directives included completing the axes of the approved deployment plan, activating intelligence work within a new strategy and axes, implementing proactive operations, especially in remote areas, using thermal cameras to cover areas with complex geographical terrain, and continuing the operations of the law enforcement plan to achieve all its objectives.”
The Army Chief of Staff had arrived in Diyala today to see the security situation in the province.
