The fires devoured parts of the gardens and the dilapidated building of the Central Library in the Suqe Al-Shuyukh , while the civil defense teams surrounded the fire.
The District Commissioner, Nabil Al-Moussawi, told Al-Nasiriyah News Network that the building is abandoned and does not contain any books or contents, and it is a dilapidated building.
He added that the civil defense teams arrived at the scene of the accident and are working to extinguish the fire.
