The Ministry of Interior announced the seizure of a factory for manufacturing narcotic pills in Muthanna governorate.
A statement by the ministry stated that: "Under the supervision of the Minister of Interior, Abdul Amir Al-Shammari, a joint force from the General Directorate for Drug Affairs and the Rapid Response Squad carried out a secret security operation in Al-Muthanna Governorate, which ended with the seizure of machines inside a drug-manufacturing factory."
The statement that: "Through preliminary investigations, it was found that the factory was prepared for the manufacture of the narcotic pills," noting that: "raw materials, estimated at twenty-seven and a half kilograms, were seized along with the seals of the narcotic pills."
