Baghdad, Community police stopped 36 cases of electronic blackmail and domestic violence and returned 7 runaway girls to their families, within a week.

A statement by the community stated that its detachments stopped 36 cases of electronic blackmail and domestic violence in various governorates of the country during the last week of this month of October, and in separate operations returned 7 runaway girls to their families.

The statement added: “The detachments dealt with blackmail cases after securing the victims’ accounts, deleting the blackmail contents, and taking the necessary measures against the blackmailers. They also provided psychological and moral support to the victims of violence and escape, pledging to make periodic visits to them in order to assess their conditions and provide them with the necessary support to prevent their exposure to violence.
