US Military Conducts Fatal Raids on Suspected Drug-Smuggling Vessels in Eastern Pacific

Doha: The US military said it conducted raids on three vessels accused of drug smuggling in international waters in the eastern Pacific, resulting in the deaths of eight people.

According to Qatar News Agency, the military stated that the operations targeted vessels linked to "designated terrorist organizations" operating along known narco-trafficking routes. US Southern Command confirmed that the vessels were engaged in drug-trafficking activities.

In the statement, it was detailed that three people were killed on the first vessel, two on the second, and three on the third. The operation marks the latest in a series of military actions launched by the US administration in recent months against what it describes as drug-trafficking organizations in the Caribbean and the Pacific, leading to multiple fatalities.
