UN Secretary-General Condemns Actions in Gaza as Inhumane

New york: UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres, during the high-level General Debate of the 80th session of the UN General Assembly, expressed grave concerns about the ongoing situation in Gaza. He highlighted that the atrocities occurring in the region, now nearing their third year, stem from decisions that disregard fundamental principles of humanity. Guterres firmly stated that the collective punishment of the Palestinian people and the systematic decimation of Gaza are unjustifiable. He reiterated that a two-state solution remains the only viable path to achieving lasting peace in the Middle East.

According to Qatar News Agency, Guterres emphasized the urgent need for international attention and action to address the crisis. He called upon world leaders to prioritize humanitarian principles and work collaboratively towards resolving the conflict. The UN Secretary-General’s remarks underscore the importance of diplomatic efforts in seeking a sustainable resolution that respects the rights and dignity of all involved parties.
