Doha: Three people were killed and 24 others were injured in a Russian attack on the Zaporizhzhia region of Ukraine.
According to Qatar News Agency, Russian forces carried out 979 strikes on 54 settlements across Ukraine's Zaporizhzhia region over the past 24 hours, resulting in the deaths of three individuals and injuries to 24 others.
This development follows an announcement by Russian authorities that their forces had destroyed a multiple-launch rocket system and 10 Ukrainian drone command centers.
Russia's Sputnik news agency reported that Russian forces targeted the Kharkiv and Sumy regions, executing more than 200 strikes in these areas overnight.
These strikes are part of a broader escalation, as Russia has intensified its attacks on several Ukrainian facilities, including ports, with no signs of an imminent political settlement in the ongoing conflict.
