UAE and Jordan Leaders Discuss Regional Developments and Gaza Ceasefire

Abu dhabi: HH President of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, has held a phone call with Jordan's King Abdullah II to discuss ways of strengthening bilateral relations and expanding cooperation between the two countries.

According to Qatar News Agency, during the call, the two leaders also reviewed a number of regional and international issues of mutual concern, including recent developments in the Middle East.

They exchanged views on the situation in the region and stressed the importance of moving forward with the implementation of the ceasefire agreement in Gaza. Both leaders emphasized the need to ensure the unimpeded entry of sufficient humanitarian aid into the territory to ease the suffering of its residents.

Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed and King Abdullah II also underlined the importance of working towards a just and comprehensive peace based on a two-state solution, which they said remains essential for achieving lasting peace and regional stability.
