Ankara: President of the Turkish Presidency of Defence Industries (SSB) Haluk Gorgun announced a significant growth in Turkiye's defense and aerospace exports, which saw a 128.4 percent increase in July compared to the same month last year.
According to Qatar News Agency, Gorgun shared on the Turkish social media platform, Next Sosyal, that the nation's revenues from these exports reached USD 989.6 million in July. This surge reflects Turkiye's expanding presence in the global defense and aerospace markets.
Furthermore, the overall export figures for the defense and aerospace sectors in the first half of 2025 amounted to USD 4.591 billion, marking a 38.6 percent increase compared to the corresponding period in the previous year. This growth underscores the sectors' pivotal role in enhancing Turkiye's economic landscape and its strategic importance on the international stage.
