The Turkish Ministry of Defense announced the killing of 1,388 militants from organizations hostile to it, most of them from the Kurdistan Workers' Party, since the beginning of this year.
Turkish Defense Spokesman Zaki Akturk said in a media circular today, Thursday: Since January 1 of this year, 1,388 terrorists have been neutralized in areas of counter-terrorism operations, including northern Syria and Iraq, 37 of them in the past seven days.
He added: The Turkish Air Force destroyed 58 sites in the areas of Qandil, Assos, Kara, Matina, and Hakurk in northern Iraq through raids launched during the days of 1, 3, and 4 of this October.
The Turkish Defense Spokesman confirmed in his media circular that the Turkish Armed Forces “will continue to destroy terrorist strongholds in the appropriate place and time.”
