The work of the fifth plenary session of the Arab Parliament for the third session of the third legislative term began today, at the headquarters of the Arab League in Cairo.
The session will discuss a number of issues raised from the meetings of the preparatory committees for Parliament that were held yesterday, including developments in the political and security situation in the Arab world.
The session is scheduled to discuss the economic file prepared by the Economic and Financial Affairs Committee, an Arab guiding draft law on promoting investments in the fields of renewable and clean energy in the Arab world, and preparations for holding the second edition of the Arab Forum on promoting Arab economic integration among Arab countries.
For its part, the Legislative, Legal and Human Rights Affairs Committee submitted a draft of the fifth annual report of the Arab Parliament on the situation of human rights in the Arab world for the year 2022 AD, and a draft road map to combat child labor in the Arab region, especially the worst forms of child labor by 2026 AD, as well as a draft vision of the Arab Parliament to address the negative repercussions of humanitarian disasters on human rights in the Arab world.
Parliament is discussing the report of the social situation in the Arab world for the year 2022, submitted by the Committee on Social, Educational and Cultural Affairs, Women and Youth, and discussing the establishment of the Arabic Language Fund in the least developed countries, as well as examining the possibility of preparing an Arab guiding law to combat the phenomenon of bullying in the Arab world, and the committee approved a draft A law to combat domestic violence in the Arab world.”
