The President of the Republic, Jamal Abdul Latif Rashid, affirmed Iraq's full solidarity with the Palestinian people and their legitimate rights.
He said in a tweet: In this difficult circumstance, Iraq’s full solidarity with the Palestinian people and their legitimate rights, and we demand an immediate cessation of acts of violence and bombing of civilians, and opening the way for humanitarian aid to reach the people of Gaza.
