Baghdad, Deputy Speaker of the Parliament, Shakhwan Abdullah Ahmed, arrived in the Qatari capital, Doha, and met upon his arrival, Hassan bin Abdullah Al-Ghanim, Speaker of the Qatari Shura Council, and his deputy, Hamda bint Hassan Al-Sulaiti.
The Media Department of the House of Representatives stated, “The visit came in response to the invitation extended by the Presidency of the Qatari Shura Council, and during the meeting, topics and issues of common concern, particularly ways to enhance prospects for cooperation and joint coordination between the two countries at all levels, were discussed.”
Ahmed praised, “on the occasion of the World Cup hosted by the State of Qatar, the level of organization of this great sporting event for the FIFA World Cup, which is currently being held in Qatar.
