The Border Ports Authority announced today, Tuesday the arrest of an Iraqi traveler who tried to bring 150 million dinars into the country.
The Authority said in a statement: “The Directorate of Al-Qaim Port, in conjunction with the Customs Center, the Customs Police and the Office of the National Intelligence Service, managed to seize an Iraqi traveler coming from Syria who hid money worth 150 million dinars in a professional manner, which he intended to bring into the country contrary to the permissible limit according to the law and instructions of the Central Bank and Customs.
It added, "This process came based on strict procedures for inspection by the Ports Authority and operating departments to prevent the passage of any materials that violate the law."
