Baghdad, The Arab Parliamentary Union agreed, today, Monday, to Iraq's objection to including in the conference decisions the 'principle of the two-state solution' and decided to remove it from the final statement. A statement by the media office of the Acting Speaker of the House of Representatives stated that the Arab Parliamentary Union agreed, today, Monday, to the objection of the Iraqi House of Representatives delegation to include in the conference decisions (the principle of the two-state solution), and decided to remove it from the final statement of the 36th conference of the Union, which was held in Algeria for the period May 26-27 - 2024. According to the statement, during the closing session, the former presidency of the Arab Parliamentary Union, represented by the presidency of the Parliamentary Division of the Republic of Iraq, was honored, where a medal and shield were presented to Mohsen Al-Mandalawi, the Acting Speaker of the House of Representatives, in appreciation of his efforts made du ring the period when Iraq assumed the presidency of the Union.
