Thailand’s Prime Minister and Asian Olympic Council President Discuss Sports Cooperation

Bangkok: HE Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Thailand, Anutin Charnvirakul, met with HE President of the Asian Olympic Council, Sheikh Joaan bin Hamad Al-Thani, in Bangkok on Saturday. The discussions centered on enhancing sports cooperation between the two parties to support the development of the Olympic movement in Asia. They also addressed a number of issues of mutual interest.

According to Qatar News Agency, HE Sheikh Joaan bin Hamad Al-Thani also held a meeting with HE National Olympic Committee of Thailand (NOCT) President, Pimol Srivikorn. This meeting focused on the sporting relations between the council and the committee, exploring ways to advance joint cooperation.

The meetings also included a review of preparations for upcoming continental sporting events and competitions, highlighting the commitment of both sides to fostering sports development and collaboration within the region.
