Team Qatar delegation is preparing to participate in the 15th edition of Arab Games 2023 to be held from 5th to 15th July in Algeria’s capital city of Algeria.
Team Qatar champions are aspiring to fight tooth and nail in this Arab sport gathering to collect a high medal tally as much as they can. Team Qatar will field 115 athletes (men and women) from 12 local federations in the games.
Qatar athletes shall compete in 16 sport disciplines, handball, volleyball, basketball, swimming, Triathlon (cycling only), athletics, gymnastics, chess, fencing, sailing, boxing, (goal ball and para-athletics), Karate, judo and badminton.
In the last edition of Arab Games, Team Qatar stars claimed 25 medals including 3 gold medals, 3 silver medals and 19 bronze medals to settle with the 12th place in the overall standings.
The best Qatari results came at the 12th edition held in Doha when Qatar took the 4th place with 110 medals including 32 gold medals.
