HE President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon received a written message from his Palestinian counterpart President Mahmoud Abbas, related to bilateral relations between the two countries.
Palestinian Minister of Foreign Affairs Riyad Al Maliki handed over the letter during his meeting with the Tajik President on Wednesday.
During the meeting, the Palestinian Minister briefed HE the President on the latest political developments in Palestine, the persistence of systematic Israeli violations in the Occupied Palestinian territory and unilateral practices, including settlement expansion, seizure of Palestinian lands, destruction of private and public property and settlers' terrorism.
For his part, the Tajik President praised the steadfastness and resilience of the Palestinian people, and stressed his support for the development of bilateral relations and the importance of bilateral conventions to both countries and people.
