Syria called on the United Nations and Security Council to condemn the Israeli terrorist attack on the vicinity of Damascus at dawn today, and to take immediate action to compel the occupying entity and stop the aggressive policies, put an end to its crimes and hold the perpetrators accountable, said the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates in a statement.
“The Israeli occupation forces carried out an air aggression from the direction of the occupied Syrian Arab Golan, targeting some points in the vicinity of Damascus. The aggression claimed the life of four Syrian soldiers, wounded four others, causing also material losses” the ministry added.
The ministry went on to say “The persistence of the Israeli occupation authorities in its aggressive and terrorist policies, and its aggression coincided with the operations of the US forces illegally present on Syrian territory and the activity of its terrorist tools in Syria, prove once again that “Israel” is a tool to spread chaos in the region and the main reason behind the lack of security and stability”.
“Syria, while strongly condemn that Israeli terrorist attack, calls once again on the UN and the Security Council to condemn the aggression and other continuous Israeli attacks, and to take an immediate action to compel the Israeli entity to desist from these aggressive policies and to demand Israel’s backers enable the Security Council to resume its responsibilities under the provisions of the UN Charter in maintaining international peace and security, and take the necessary measures to end the Israeli occupation of Arab lands, and put an end to the crimes of the occupation authorities, hold the perpetrators accountable ” the ministry continued.
