Muscat: HM Sultan Haitham bin Tarik of Oman met on Wednesday with HE Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani. At the outset of the meeting, HE the Prime Minister conveyed the greetings of HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani to HM Sultan of Oman, along with wishes for continued health and happiness for His Majesty and prosperity for the Omani people.
According to Qatar News Agency, HM the Sultan of Oman responded by entrusting HE the Prime Minister to convey his greetings to HH the Amir, along with wishes for His Highness's continued health and happiness, as well as further development and growth for the Qatari people. The meeting focused on discussing bilateral cooperation and exploring ways to support and strengthen these relations across various fields to serve the common interests of both nations and benefit their peoples.
The discussions also covered the latest regional developments, particularly focusing on diplomatic efforts to enhance security and stability in the region. This dialogue comes in the wake of the recent signing of the Memorandum of Understanding between the United States of America and the Islamic Republic of Iran, highlighting the importance of collaboration and dialogue in regional diplomacy.
