Kuwait city: The State of Qatar participated in the fourth meeting of the Ministerial Committee for Cybersecurity of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), held on Monday, in the State of Kuwait. The Qatari delegation was headed by HE President of the National Cyber Security Agency Eng. Abdulrahman bin Ali Al Farahid Al Malki.
According to Qatar News Agency, during the meeting, the committee approved the execution plan for the GCC Cybersecurity Strategy. This plan is pivotal in setting a unified direction for cybersecurity efforts across the member states. Additionally, the framework for international cooperation among GCC member states in the field of cybersecurity was also endorsed, highlighting the importance of collaborative efforts in tackling cybersecurity challenges.
The committee also reviewed and endorsed the outcomes and reports of its subsidiary committees. These discussions are essential for evaluating the current cybersecurity landscape and ensuring that the strategies in place are effective. Furthermore, the meeting included deliberations on several key topics aimed at strengthening joint efforts to ensure a safe and resilient Gulf cyberspace. The focus on these topics underscores the committee's commitment to enhancing cybersecurity measures across the region.
