SJC and Qatar Charity Sign Memorandum for Custodial Children Support

Doha: The Enforcement Court and the Alaqraboon Center of Qatar Charity have entered into a cooperation agreement aimed at establishing a comprehensive support system for custodial children. This initiative focuses on fostering a healthy environment for these children, addressing their social and psychological needs, and offering a range of supportive services, programs, and activities in collaboration with the child custody affairs office.

According to Qatar News Agency, the Supreme Judicial Council (SJC) highlighted that this development underscores Qatar's commitment to child protection, family stability, and cooperation between judicial and charitable sectors. The memorandum aligns with the objectives of the National Initiative to Develop Justice Systems.

The agreement outlines that both parties will work together to deliver humanitarian and social services, including urgent living assistance and support for basic needs of foster and needy families. Additionally, they will contribute to educational support and implement programs that enhance psychological and social stability for children, adhering to established regulations and policies.

HE Deputy President of the Enforcement Court, Judge Mohammed Khalifa Al Kubaisi, stated that the memorandum reflects Qatar's vision of comprehensive justice, directed by leadership committed to family and societal foundations. This initiative is part of the National Initiative to Develop Justice Systems, focusing on updating family enforcement procedures under the new Judicial Enforcement Law No. (4) of 2024.

Judge Al Kubaisi emphasized that the memorandum creates an institutional partnership to support custodial children and families in need, reducing the social and economic effects of family disputes, and showcasing the judiciary's community service mission alongside justice enforcement.

Executive Director of Alaqraboon Center, Faisal Rashid Al Fehaida, highlighted the sustainable impact of this humanitarian partnership. He explained that their work extends beyond aid, aiming to empower families and ensure their stability. Al Fehaida affirmed that the Alaqraboon Center will leverage its resources and expertise to provide quality support to deserving families, promoting solidarity, social responsibility, and a lasting impact on children's lives.
