Shooting at School in Minneapolis Leaves 2 Dead

Minneapolis: The police in the American city of Minneapolis announced Wednesday that they responded to a shooting incident that occurred at a Catholic school and its affiliated church in the southern part of the city, resulting in fatalities and injuries. Police stated that the incident left at least two killed and around 17 injured. The shooter was also killed.

According to Qatar News Agency, a city hospital reported that it treated five children who were injured during the shooting, while Minneapolis authorities declared that there is no active threat to the community at present after the shooter was contained.

Minnesota Governor Tim Walz said in a post on the platform X that authorities had been informed of the incident at the Catholic school, confirming that investigations are ongoing. The incident comes after a series of false reports about active shooters on American university campuses as the new academic year begins.
