Gaza City: A number of Palestinian civilians were injured Saturday evening when Israeli occupation forces targeted a home in the Sheikh Radwan neighborhood, north of Gaza City.
According to Qatar News Agency, the airstrike hit the home of a journalist, resulting in multiple injuries. The injured were taken to the hospital for treatment, with some reported to be in critical condition.
Local sources said that the strike also caused extensive destruction to the targeted house and damage to nearby homes, forcing several residents to flee the area out of fear of continued airstrikes.
The Ministry of Health in Gaza announced Saturday that the death toll from the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip since Oct. 7, 2023, has risen to 52,810, with 119,473 injured.
The Israeli occupation resumed its aggression on the Gaza Strip on March 18, after a two-month pause under a ceasefire agreement that took effect on Jan. 19. However, the Israeli occupation violated the terms of the ceasefire throughout those two months, continuing to bomb various areas in Gaza, refusing to implement the humanitarian protocol, and tightening its stifling siege on the Strip, which is experiencing an unprecedented humanitarian catastrophe.
