Saudi Minister of Foreign Affairs Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah discussed Thursday in South Africa with his Russian counterpart, Sergey Lavrov, the cooperation relations between the two countries, and ways to enhance and develop them in all fields.
During the meeting, the two ministers discussed the consolidation of bilateral and multilateral work with regard to many issues of common interest. They also discussed the most prominent issues raised in the Friends of BRICS (Brazil-Russia-India-China-South Africa) ministerial meeting, held under the slogan 'partnership for accelerated growth, sustainable development and comprehensive pluralism'.
The Saudi foreign minister reiterated his country's position in support of all regional and international endeavors aimed at finding a political solution to the Russian-Ukrainian crisis.
