Russian Forces Announce Capturing Two Towns in Eastern Ukraine

Doha: The Russian Ministry of Defense announced today that its forces have taken control of two new towns in eastern Ukraine.

According to Qatar News Agency, the ministry stated in a statement that units from its Northern Group took control of the town of Besalovka in Sumy Oblast, while forces from the Center Group took control of the town of Dachnoye in Dnipropetrovsk Oblast.

It indicated that Ukrainian forces suffered losses during military operations on the front lines, amounting to up to 180 soldiers, two armored combat vehicles, five vehicles, four field guns, two ammunition depots, and a supply depot.

Reports issued by both countries regarding field data conflict, and it is impossible to verify these data from an independent source, given the war conditions and the ongoing fighting since February 24, 2022.
