The Russian Ministry of Defense announced Monday that 35 Ukrainian drones and 16 missiles were shot down on Sunday. A statement issued by the ministry said that Ukrainian attacks using drones, multiple launch missile systems and guided missiles against Russian targets were thwarted. Air defense systems destroyed 12 missiles and 12 drones over Belgorod Province, 8 drones over Kursk Province, 4 guided missiles and 7 drones over Crimea, while 8 other drones were intercepted over Lipetsk Province, the statement added. Russia began a special military operation in Ukraine on Feb. 24, 2022, and it does not appear that it is close to ending it, in light of Moscows assertion that its special operation will continue until its full goals are achieved.
