Russia, Ukraine Exchange Claims Over Downed Drones

Moscow: Russia and Ukraine exchanged statements on Tuesday regarding the interception of drones, as hostilities between the two countries continue.

According to Qatar News Agency, the Russian Ministry of Defense announced that its air defense systems had intercepted 10 Ukrainian drones overnight across several provinces. Meanwhile, the Ukrainian Air Force reported that Russia launched 54 drones in an overnight attack, of which 38 drones were shot down, while the remaining 16 failed to reach their targets, likely due to electronic countermeasures.

Drone strikes have become a regular feature of the ongoing conflict, which began in February 2022. A political resolution remains out of reach, as Moscow continues to assert that its military operation will persist until its declared objectives are fully achieved.
