Moscow: Russia and Ukraine exchanged statements on Wednesday regarding the interception of drones, as hostilities between the two countries continue.
According to Qatar News Agency, the Russian Ministry of Defense announced that its air defense systems had intercepted 112 Ukrainian drones overnight across several provinces. Meanwhile, the Ukrainian Air Force reported that Russia launched 88 drones in an overnight attack, of which 34 drones were shot down, while the remaining 37 failed to reach their targets, likely due to electronic countermeasures.
Since the start of the war in February 2022, Russia and Ukraine have issued near-daily reports claiming to have repelled attacks by the other side. Due to the ongoing conflict, these claims have not been independently verified.
