Moscow: The Russian Ministry of Defense announced on Monday that its air defense systems successfully intercepted and shot down 67 Ukrainian drones across various regions of Russian territory overnight.
According to Qatar News Agency, the ministry detailed that 24 drones were intercepted over the Bryansk region, 12 over Saratov, 11 over Rostov, and nine over Volgograd. Additionally, two drones were downed in each of the Kursk, Leningrad, Tula, and Moscow regions, while single drones were intercepted in the Kaluga, Oryol, and Smolensk regions.
Since the conflict began in late February 2022, both Russia and Ukraine have frequently reported intercepting attacks from each other. These claims, however, remain unverified independently due to the ongoing nature of the hostilities.
