Moscow: The Russian Foreign Ministry condemned on Wednesday the Israeli aggression against Qatar, describing it as a flagrant violation of international law and the UN Charter. In a statement, the ministry urged all concerned parties to take a responsible approach and avoid actions that could lead to a deterioration of the situation in the Palestinian-Israeli conflict zone and complicate the search for a political settlement.
According to Qatar News Agency, the ministry stressed that Russia considers this incident a flagrant violation of international law and the UN Charter, an assault on the sovereignty and territorial integrity of an independent state, and a step that will lead to further escalation and destabilization of the situation in the Middle East.
