Russia: Russia's Ministry of Defense has announced that its air defense systems shot down 64 Ukrainian drones overnight across several Russian regions.
According to Qatar News Agency, a ministry statement detailed that 20 drones were destroyed over Samara, eight over Voronezh, and another eight over Saratov. Seven drones were downed over Moscow Oblast, including five reportedly heading toward the capital, while six were shot down each over Ryazan and Rostov.
Additional interceptions included three drones over Tula, two over Belgorod, and one each over Kursk, Kaluga, Penza, and Tambov.
Russia and Ukraine have been exchanging drone attacks since the start of the war in February 2022. Each side claims to have destroyed drones from the other, but independent verification of such figures remains difficult due to ongoing hostilities.
