Doha: Qatar University’s (QU) announced on Sunday the start of the early registration period for the Winter 2026 and Spring 2026 semesters, following a clearly defined schedule that depends on the student’s category and the number of earned credit hours.
According to Qatar News Agency, registration began for graduate students (Doctorate, Master’s, and Diploma) and students in the Honors Program, followed by undergraduate students according to their earned credit hours, starting from Monday until Sunday. Additionally, registration will open for all students on Nov. 24, 2025, QU said in a statement.
The Registration Section highlighted that the Add/Drop Period for the Winter 2026 semester will end on Dec. 23, 2025, while for the Spring 2026 semester it will close on Jan. 22, 2026. Students can view the offered courses via the course schedule available on the QU Portal.
The college administration stressed the importance of consulting the academic advisor before registering for courses to ensure the selection of appropriate courses in alignment with the study plan and urged students to make sure there are no holds that could obstruct the registration process.
They also emphasized the necessity of reviewing the new myBanner Self-Service Manual (Banner 9) to understand the exact steps for registration and dropping courses.
In addition, QU further elaborated that students with disabilities can reach out to the Inclusion and Special Needs Support Center for the necessary support during registration or contact the center by phone.
