Doha: The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) general index opened higher on Wednesday, climbing 19.39 points, or 0.18%, to reach 10,570 points compared to the previous session's close. This increase was supported by gains in five key sectors.
According to Qatar News Agency, market data revealed that the Telecoms sector led the gains with an increase of 0.49%. Industrials followed, rising by 0.30%, while the Transportation sector saw a 0.13% increase. The Real Estate and Banks and Financial Services sectors also contributed to the positive start, with marginal increases of 0.03% and 0.01%, respectively.
Conversely, the Consumer Goods and Services sector experienced a slight decline of 0.01%, and the Insurance sector faced a more significant drop of 0.46%. By 10:00 am, the trading turnover reached QAR 54.240 million, with a total of 25.033 million shares traded across 4,103 transactions.
