QSE Index Rises 0.44% at Beginning of Sunday’s Trading


Doha: Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) index rose at the beginning of Sunday’s trading session by 0.44%, adding 46.53 points to reach the level of 10,621 points, compared to the closing of the previous session.



According to Qatar News Agency, QSE figures attributed the rise in the general index to the positive performance of several sectors. The telecommunications sector increased by 0.95%, followed closely by the insurance sector which saw a rise of 0.93%. The real estate sector improved by 0.55%, while the banking and financial services sector climbed by 0.50%. Additionally, the industrial sector rose by 0.41% and the consumer goods and services sector increased by 0.35%. Conversely, the transportation sector experienced a decline, recording a negative performance of 0.47%.



At 10:00 AM, the Qatar Stock Exchange recorded a total of 3,846 transactions, amounting to QR 118,415 million. These transactions were distributed over 64,606 million shares.
