Doha: The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) general index experienced a slight decline, dropping by 1.53 points, or 0.01%, at the commencement of Wednesday's trading session. The index fell to 10,407 points compared to the previous session's closing figures.
According to Qatar News Agency, the market's downturn was primarily influenced by decreases across several sectors. Transportation saw a minor dip of 0.03%, while Banks and Financial Services experienced a 0.06% decline. The Consumer Goods and Services sector fell by 0.11%, Telecoms by 0.14%, Real Estate by 0.25%, and Insurance by 0.53%. Conversely, the Industrials sector recorded a positive performance with a slight increase of 0.18%.
As of 10:00 a.m., the QSE had recorded 2,834 transactions, amounting to a total value of QAR 45.639 million. These transactions were spread across 17.476 million shares.
