QSE Index Opens Lower With Sectoral Pressure

Doha: The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) general index experienced a decline of 15.07 points, or 0.14%, at the beginning of trading on Monday, settling at 10,748 points. This drop was influenced by pressures from five sectors.

According to Qatar News Agency, the sectors leading the decline included Real Estate, which fell by 0.05%, followed by Industrials at -0.11%, Consumer Goods and Services at -0.19%, Banks and Financial Services at -0.24%, and Insurance, which saw the most significant drop at 0.94%. In contrast, the Telecoms sector observed an increase of 0.49%, with Transportation also experiencing a slight rise of 0.07%.

By 10:00 am, the trading turnover had reached QR 25.691 million, with 12.896 million shares traded across 1,480 transactions.
