QSE Index Opens Lower as Four Sectors Decline

Doha: The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) general index dropped 44.41 points, or 0.42%, at the start of Monday's trading, down to 10,510 points compared to the previous session's closing. The market was weighed down by declines in four sectors: Insurance (-0.37%), Consumer Goods and Services (-0.25%), Banks and Financial Services (-0.55%), and Real Estate (-1.49%).

According to Qatar News Agency, the performance was positive for the Telecoms sector, which saw an increase of 1.53%, and Transportation, which edged up by 0.01%. The Industrials sector remained stable with no change recorded.

At 10:00 a.m., QSE recorded 10,414 transactions worth QR 102.729 million, distributed across 33.451 million shares.
