Doha: The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) general index rose by 46.29 points, or 0.43%, at the start of trading on Thursday, reaching 10,857 points, compared to the previous session's close.
According to Qatar News Agency, the index was supported by gains in Banks and Financial Services, which increased by 0.79%, Real Estate by 0.53%, Telecoms by 0.35%, Insurance sector by 0.26%, and Transportation by 0.10%. In contrast, negative performance was seen in the Consumer Goods and Services, down by 0.05%, and Industrials, which fell by 0.12%.
As of 10:00 AM, the Qatar Stock Exchange recorded trades worth QAR 138.751 million. These trades were distributed over 59.016 million shares through 4977 transactions.
