QSE Index Declines by 0.11% at Start of Thursday’s Trading

Qatar stock exchange: The QSE general index opened lower at the start of Thursday's trading session, experiencing a decline of 10.82 points, or 0.11%, to settle at 10,280 points, compared to the previous session's close. This downturn was influenced by pressure from three specific sectors.

According to Qatar News Agency, market data highlighted gains in several sectors despite the general index's decline. The Transportation sector saw an increase of 0.90%, while Consumer Goods and Services rose by 0.09%. Additionally, the Telecoms sector experienced a modest gain of 0.07%, and the Insurance sector improved by 0.06%. On the other hand, the Industrials sector experienced a slight drop of 0.05%, Real Estate fell by 0.33%, and Banks and Financial Services decreased by 0.38%.

By 10:00 am, the trading turnover had reached QAR 31.811 million, with a total of 14.693 million shares being traded across 2,405 transactions.
