QSE Index Declines at Start of Trading

Doha: The QSE index declined by 0.38% at the start of Sunday's trading, losing 41.79 points and falling to 10,861 points, compared to the previous session's close, under pressure from six sectors.

According to Qatar News Agency, the market faced downward pressure from Banks and Financial Services, which dropped by 0.54%, and Industrials, which also decreased by 0.54%. The Insurance sector fell by 0.52%, Real Estate by 0.32%, Transportation by 0.18%, and Consumer Goods and Services by 0.09%. Conversely, Telecoms experienced a rise, gaining 0.33%.

By 10:00 am, the Qatar Stock Exchange reported a turnover of QR 47.998 million. During this period, 22.798 million shares were traded across 2,249 transactions.
