Doha: The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) index experienced a significant decrease in its trading session on Thursday, closing with a drop of 119.95 points, or 1.08 percent, bringing the index to a level of 10,958.55 points.
According to Qatar News Agency, the trading session saw a total of 136,676,903 shares exchanged, amassing a value of QAR 416,693,382.180. These transactions were executed through 21,763 deals spanning all sectors of the market.
By the close of the session, the shares of 16 companies had risen, while 32 companies saw their shares decline. Meanwhile, five companies’ share prices remained unchanged from their previous closing values.
The market capitalization at the end of the trading session was QAR 656,747,549,127.563, in contrast to QAR 664,323,438,032.416 recorded in the previous session.
